  Registration Frequently Asked Questions

Q1:  I am not a member of AIS, can I attend the ICIS conference?
A:
The ICIS conference is only open to current members of AIS. However, you may join AIS prior to completing your conference registration. For more information about AIS, or to become a member, visit our website at http://start.aisnet.org.

Q2:  Do I have to be an AIS member to register for the SIG and Ancillary meetings?
A:
You do not have to be an AIS member to register for the SIG and Ancillary meetings. Once you have created a profile and/or logged into the system, simply visit the Ancillary Events Only cart and select the Ancillary Event(s) you wish to attend. Please note that a la carte purchases of Ancillary Meetings are not subject to schedule conflict detection, so be careful not to double-book yourself!

Q3:  Can I pay after I attend the conference?
A:
Registration forms can not be processed until payment is received in full.

Q4: I am participating in the Doctoral Consortium, are membership fees included in my registration?
A:
Students attending the DC pay the DC registration fee ($380, regardless when they register.)  If the student is not already an AIS member, they will be provided with a complimentary one-year student membership.  If they are already a member, then their attendance at the DC does not change their membership status.  Their current membership will expire as scheduled.

Q5:  Can I register and pay onsite?
A:
We accept personal checks, traveler’s checks, VISA, MasterCard and American Express.  Registration badges will not be issued until payment is made in full. Due to space limitations, we strongly encourage all participants to register and pay in advance. Early registration fees are offered at a discounted rate.

Q6:  Can I pay by purchase order?
A:
Purchase orders are not accepted. Registration badges will not be issued without some form of payment in full.  If evidence of company payment is not available on site, the participant will be given a registration badge only after he/she provides a valid credit card number as a guarantee until staff returns to the office following the conference.

Q7: I am an Institutional Member or Academic Sponsor designee. How do I register?
A:
Contact the AIS Membership Manager at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Q8: What’s the last day for conference registration?
A:
The conference registration will remain open until the end of the conference which is December 19, 2012.
